Rick Baker is a seasoned entrepreneur, consultant, and energy leader with more than three decades of experience spanning corporate leadership, entrepreneurship, governance, software and technology, and energy-sector collaboration.

His career combines executive and board roles with both large corporations and entrepreneurial ventures. He has founded multiple energy and technology businesses, including Waterloo Intuition & Technology, a software and IT solutions company, and the Ontario Energy Collaborative Association.

A professional engineer and certified corporate director (ICD.D), Rick serves on the boards of GrandBridge Group, GrandBridge Solutions, Catalys Corporation, and his family-owned technology company. With strong interests in governance and risk management, he serves as a member of the Executive Committee of the Institute of Corporate Directors’ Southwestern Ontario Chapter.

Rick previously held board leadership positions with the Ontario Energy Marketers Association, the Centre for Family Business, Conestoga College’s Centre for Entrepreneurship, and the Greater Kitchener Waterloo Chamber of Commerce. Recognized for connecting diverse perspectives and strengthening governance practices, he continues to champion innovation across Ontario’s energy and business communities.
